The Project Manager provides overall project leadership, management and oversight and manages projects and software development projects through the entire life cycle and ensures they are closed on time, within budget and meet the projects’ objectives. KEY DECISIONS THE ROLE MAKES AND THE EXTENT OF THE IMPACT OF THE DECISION |
Makes recommendations to Senior Program Manager of systems improvement, processes improvements, project forecast, transition planning, budgets, and quality and cost benefits analysis

KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Effectively manages the development of several software/solutions projects from initiation till deployment
Oversee software development runs efficiently by carefully planning, executing and delegating tasks aimed at successful implementation of the software
Promote best practices and industry standards to comply with software development life cycle process and disciplines
Plans, organizes and controls all project resources and effort
Develops work breakdown structure, detailed project plans, schedules and is accountable for monitoring and reporting on project metrics, issues, risks and overall progress
Works with other managers and teams ensuring assigned project tasks are performed in timely manner
Monitors and ensures that projects adhere to the established project management standards and methodologies and closely perform required procurement, communication and human resource management activities as required on the projects
Develops / ensures required project documentation is complete
Responsible for assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed
Actively manages risks and issues for assigned projects and when necessary, escalates issues to management’s attention for guidance and assistance in reaching a resolution
Facilitates and prepares consistent PM Status reporting and analyzing project data against key process indicators so as to aid in the governance of the overall project management process
Performs vendor and stakeholder management to ensure business needs/requirements have been met
Manages solution development – typically through third-party development
Provides project data, information and recommendations to the management for further project analysis
Works closely with internal and external stakeholders and balances competing priorities, resources, schedules and budgets on the project
Provides support and guidance to other project team members
Establishes positive relationships with business customers and provides recommendations to improve process efficiencies
Acts as a liaison outside vendors as appropriate
Leads project meetings and any events/activities required to support the project

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS – SELECTION CRITERIA
Education
ESSENTIAL
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, engineering or other related field
Experience
ESSENTIAL
Seven years of experience in managing medium to large scale projects including
Three years of experience in technical role including application development (SDLC)
Demonstrated experience in Project Management Tools, Techniques and Software Development Life Cycle
Demonstrated experience developing and delivering project management presentations
Experience with best practice quality and process improvement methodology
PREFERRED
Three years of experience managing projects for trading platforms, fintech, financial institution or similar or relevant field
Certification and Licensure
ESSENTIAL
PMP or Prince 2 certification
PREFERRED
Development in Java or .Net environment
Job Specific Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated knowledge of system and software development life-cycle (SDLC/STLC) and code deployment
Demonstrated knowledge of software development and deep understanding of the development process and challenges
Ability to influence wide range of audience and have capabilities to work appropriately and effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to build productive and collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Excellent report writing, time management and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated experience in managing project engagements and outsourced vendors
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English
