The Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA) and Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) participated in a panel discussion as part of the World Economic Forum - Davos 2026, currently being held in Davos, Switzerland, until 23 January 2026, under the theme "The Spirit of Dialogue." The participation took place through a session titled "Unlocking Opportunities in Qatar's Evolving Capital Markets." during which H.E. Dr. Tamy bin Ahmed Al Binali, Chief Executive Officer of the QFMA, outlined the Authority's strategy to enhance governance, transparency, and investor protection, and to build an innovative and sustainable capital market aligned with Qatar National Vision 2030 and the Third Financial Sector Strategy. Dr. Al Binali emphasized the importance of close cooperation between the QFMA and QSE as an integrated model that contributes to improving liquidity, encouraging new listings, and ensuring market growth within clear regulatory frameworks and high disclosure standards. For his part, Mr. Abdullah Al-Ansari, Chief Executive Officer of QSE, stated that the Exchange continues to implement initiatives aimed at enhancing liquidity and expanding investment products, including debt instruments and ESG-compliant products, in addition to developing the market's digital infrastructure and strengthening its connectivity with global markets. Both sides affirmed that participation in the Davos Forum reflects the State of Qatar's commitment to deepening its capital market, enhancing its attractiveness to long-term investments, and reinforcing its position as an advanced regional financial hub characterized by efficiency and transparency.
